Hi, my name is Sandra!

Menopause Is Not a Decline. It's a Transition - and It Requires a Smarter Approach.

Sleep changes. Metabolism shifts. Muscle mass decreases. Focus feels different.

These aren't random. They aren't personal failures. They're biological - and once you understand what's actually happening, you can stop fighting your body and start working with it.

You're Not Doing It Wrong. The Advice Is Wrong.

For most of our lives, the message has been simple: eat less, move more, push harder. Then perimenopause arrives - and suddenly none of it works the way it used to.

That's not a willpower problem. It's a strategy problem.

Hormone shifts during perimenopause and menopause affect muscle preservation, fat distribution, sleep quality, stress response, and mental clarity. The approach that got you here won't necessarily carry you forward. What this stage calls for isn't more force - it's better information and a smarter plan.

My Story

I'm a Certified Menopause Health Coach, Certified Barre® Instructor, and Pilates Instructor. I've lived this transition firsthand.

Perimenopause began for me in my mid-40s, and it changed how my body responded to everything I had relied on before. Sleep became lighter. Weight shifted without explanation. Energy came and went on its own schedule. I had to learn a completely new way to support myself - and that learning became the foundation of everything I share here.

What I Focus On

At The Refined Fit, I combine research-informed education with practical movement and lifestyle strategies designed specifically for this stage of life. That means strength and movement that respects your nervous system, metabolic guidance that's sustainable, and honest conversation about what's actually going on in your body.

Not intense. Not extreme. Intelligent, consistent, and grounded in both science and lived experience.

What You'll Find Here

Clear explanations of what's happening during menopause, perimenopause and beyond. Movement strategies that preserve muscle and support metabolism without burning you out. Guidance on sleep, brain clarity, and building strength that lasts. Everything here is educational, rooted in reputable sources, and designed to help you feel more capable in your own body - though it is not a substitute for medical care.

Menopause is not the end of your strength. It's the beginning of a more intentional one.

I'm glad you're here.
